Camgian CEO Named Top Entrepreneur


STARKVILLE, MS – 21 March 2018 – The Mississippi Business Journal has named Camgian Chairman and CEO Gary Butler to their list of Mississippi’s Top Entrepreneurs for 2018. The list recognizes Mississippi’s leading entrepreneurs including those who are making significant contributions to both the State and global economies.


Butler received his Ph.D. in engineering from the University of Cambridge and founded Camgian in 2006, which has now become a recognized leader in the Internet of Things (IoT) market. He has been a speaker and panelist at events such as Liveworx, the IoT Global Summit, CLSA Americas IoT Innovation Summit, M2M Evolution, European IoT Summit and TEDx. He has been recognized by Postscapes as an IoT CEO of the Year for 2015, the Mississippi Business Journal as one of Mississippi’s Top CEOs, and one of 10 Mississippi Vision Leaders by the Mississippi Innovation Economy. In addition, he has testified as an expert witness on the IoT market before the US House Committee on Energy and Commerce.
