LAWTON, OK – DECEMBER 20, 2022 – Camgian Corporation has announced its expansion into Oklahoma with its new facility in the Fires Innovation Science and Technology Accelerator (FISTA) in Lawton. The new facility, scheduled to officially open in January 2023, will support the development, integration, and testing of new AI-based air and missile defense technologies for the US military.
Camgian was the first company to sign a lease with the FISTA, which aims to provide state-of-the-art facilities to support leading defense tech companies and their collaboration with Ft. Sill. Once completed, the FISTA Innovation Park will comprise more than 105,000 square feet for enabling advanced military research and development activities.
“We are excited to be part of the Oklahoma and Lawton/Ft. Sill communities with this new facility,” said Camgian CEO Dr. Gary Butler. “It is our intention to use this facility for the development of advanced AI technologies for improving the speed and performance of air and missile defense systems.”
Camgian is actively seeking candidates to fill positions for the facility including data scientists, AI engineers, software engineers, and computer scientists. The addition of the Oklahoma facility expands Camgian’s footprint to five states including Alabama, Mississippi, South Carolina, and Tennessee.
