STARKVILLE, MISS. — Camgian Microsystems announced today that CEO Gary Butler received People’s Choice Award recognition for the Internet of Things (IoT) CEO of the Year. The recognition was part of the 4th Annual IoT Awards, hosted by online publication Postscapes, which seek to highlight the year’s best projects, companies and ideas in the IoT. The IoT CEO of the Year award honored the year’s leading chief executives shaping the IoT industry and included nominees from top, global technology companies in the IoT market.
“We are very pleased that Gary has been recognized with such a great honor. Over the past year, Gary has lead an aggressive transformation of Camgian’s business as the company built on its success in government and defense markets and moved to leverage innovative IoT technologies to solve long standing problems in commercial market segments like smart retail and smart infrastructure. He has established a bold vision for our company and created a winning team with a strong corporate culture,” said John Reece, member of Camgian’s Board of Directors.
This award was the second received by Butler this month. He was also recognized as one of ten Mississippi Vision Leaders for 2015 by the Mississippi Innovation Economy.
